The College of Wooster’s baseball team recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to Italy with Navigo Sports Tours. This unique 8-day experience allowed the team to not only showcase their skills on the international stage but also explore the rich history, culture, and beauty of Italy.

Their adventure began with a group flight to Rome, where they were met by Navigo tour directors who ensured a seamless transition to their private team bus. The team then made their way to Florence, where they discovered the city’s treasures through a guided bike tour, sightseeing iconic landmarks like Michelangelo’s David and the Duomo. An authentic pasta cooking class at night provided the perfect opportunity for bonding over delectable Italian cuisine.

Game days in Padova and a second exhibition match in Rome against the Padule Baseball Club highlighted the trip’s athletic component. These games were more than just competitions; they served as cultural exchanges, fostering international friendships.

The group left no part of Rome unseen, from a walking tour that included famous sites such as the Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Campo de Fiori, to visits to the Vatican, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
