The Middlesex School’s Baseball Team’s Puerto Rico Adventure
The Middlesex School Baseball team recently embarked on an action-packed journey with Navigo Sports Tours to Puerto Rico. What followed was an immersive experience blending sports, culture, and adventure, leaving indelible marks on our memories.
Our trip began with a flight to San Juan, where Navigo Tour Directors greeted the group warmly before diving into the vibrant streets of Old San Juan. Exploring the historic district, we absorbed the Caribbean’s rich history and culture, setting the tone for the days ahead.
From there, our schedule overflowed with excitement. We visited the historic Castillo de San Felipe del Morro, engaged in team practices, and shared our passion for baseball with local youth through clinics and exhibition games against local Puerto Rico teams.
But it wasn’t just baseball. We delved into the lush wonders of El Yunque National Forest, taking refreshing dips in natural pools beneath cascading waterfalls. Exploring Ponce’s streets, we uncovered its charm and sampled Puerto Rico’s flavors.
Of course, we couldn’t miss a day of beachside bliss. Basking in the Caribbean sun, we enjoyed water activities and relaxation, capping off our adventure with a farewell dinner, reminiscing about the bonds forged and experiences shared.
